Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Today is the first day I document my experiences raising a child with ADHD, anxiety disorder, and depression. Today I tell our story from my vision. The story of my beautiful boy who is plagued with the blues, fights against joy and gratitude, and who has an inner sadness I cannot sway. I suspect this story is not unlike many others, lives lived by single and coupled parents who for whatever reason feel they have failed children, who they feel they have let down, or somehow damaged. This is only my story, from my point of view. Maybe you will find it interesting, maybe you will find it ugly and me lacking as a parent, but this is my reality and I need to share.
